Raquel Peña, known Raquiqui behind the turntables, is a DJ who blends vinyl records and digital selections into dance floors that feel intentional, energetic, and built to move people. Known for fluid mixing and strong musical instincts, Raquiqui plays across genres and formats, creating sets that adapt to the room while keeping momentum front and center.

Raquiqui is a Tejana with deep West Texas roots, carrying generations of musical influence into her crates and mixes. She plays all genres in both vinyl and digital formats and especially enjoys spinning cumbia, Spanish rock, R&B, funk, boogie, house, and disco — always with an ear for flow, balance, and connection.

With more than 10 years of experience in radio, Raquiqui is a trusted tastemaker with a deep understanding of how sound shapes space and experience. She has toured as an opening DJ for Mayer Hawthorne, provided support for artists including Egyptian Lover, Adrian Younge, and Grupo Fantasma, and has been selected as an official artist for Formula 1 and MotoGP in Austin. Raquiqui has also performed extensively during SXSW and at events for STARZ Vida, Paramount TV’s Yellowjackets, Gorton’s Seafood, Doc Martens, Reddit, Google, and more.

In addition to performing solo, Raquiqui regularly DJs alongside her comadres in Chulita Vinyl Club, Queer Vinyl Collective, Sucia Daddys, and HOT Moon Vinyl. She also curates talent and builds lineups, bringing together DJs and artists that align with the audience, energy, and intention of each event.

Raquiqui brings over 20 years of combined experience in entertainment marketing, event production, tour production, and production management across North America, the EU, and the UK. This background allows her to support events holistically — whether behind the decks, shaping a lineup, or helping guide the overall flow of a night.

Raquiqui also serves on the board of Women in Vinyl, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting and empowering women, gender-expansive people and marginalized folx in the vinyl industry.
